Breathe, release, live!

I am about 10 days into the month long moon course at Las Piramides. Our first week was focused on the physical body: feeling strong and grounded. In the second week we’ve been focusing on the water element, which is mostly emotions. Let’s just say I’m calling it ‘weep week’! I’ve released some excess baggage and feel like I’m already a better version of myself! It’s difficult to speak about the course in a blog format but if you’re interested in hearing more detail we can definitely connect to discuss it on a deeper level.

I’ve found my rhythm in the day to day activities. Roxanne and I have been sharing the chore of cooking, for which I am very grateful! I don’t like cooking to begin with, then add in the fact that all 20 of us share 1 small cooking space. Plus Roxanne has been spoiling me with dishes like kimchi fried rice! The afternoons have been a relaxing and refreshing mix of walks, going to the market, reading, laying in a hammock, extra courses (cacao ceremonies, breath work) and my favorite – kirtan (chanting/singing groups).

This morning a few of us got up really early to hike up Indian’s Nose (a nearby mountain) to watch the sunrise. It was magnificent and we had the added bonus of seeing a volcano burping!

I’ll leave you with some pictures of the big pyramid meditation and yoga space (check out how the trees around grow in the direction of the pyramid!), some scenes around town, and our sunrise hike.
